Doug and I were still sleeping peacefully in bed when the first phone call rang. It was Patty, Gary was in the ER. His throat was closing, he couldn't speak, breath, or swallow via his throat. (He could breathe through his nose, thankfully.) The Dr. believes it is an allergic reaction to one of his meds that he has been on for at least 4 years. Easy problem to solve...switch to different med.
Phone call #2. I was filling Sadie's pool when Sally calls. "Hey, I'm in the ER. Want to come hang out with me?" She thought she had strep throat: soar throat, bumps, and red. Turns out some of her lymph tissue had a reaction to something. A prescription for nasal spray and out of the ER.
I am always so thankful when the trips to the ER are like this. Simple. An easy prescription fix.
If anyone ever needs an ER buddy, I am happy to sit and listen and ask questions to the Dr's. Remember: All bleeding stops eventually!
Hugs, Brandy
