Zeak

Zeak is our big goober. We adopted him a year ago. He is an 8-year old who only wants love. He and Sadie get along great.

Woohoo! I was officially called and offered a job today...still can't believe it! It's only been 3 months since graduation (sarcasm)...hoping the economy improves for future grads! I believe I will be working 12 hour day shifts, but that is still pending.

Long time..no post..

A lot has happened since my last post! I am finally done with Nursing school! Ta da! It was a rough battle, but so glad to be done. It feels very weird not to have another semester to go or measure life in semesters. Job hunt still continues..looking positive for a callback this week. We shall see. I have been working with my friend who is going through chemotherapy. It keeps me busy and I love being with her because she has such a positive spirit.
Doug is still plugging away at computers. The dogs are a handful, but oh so lovable. I haven't put up any pictures of Zeak on here. I will have to correct that. I hope to post more on here now that I have some free time.

What's going on

Been awhile since I updated what's going on with us, so here's just a quick blurb. School continues for me as ever(will I ever be done? Oh no, wait nurses have continuing education, so no! Never!) Sadie is just as spoiled as the day we got her. Yesterday Doug & I went to Rockford just for something to do. We went to Petsmart to just get Sadie the normal things: a new toy, a new collar, a couple frisbees to destroy, etc. Well, we started looking at food and water dishes...that turned into.."Hey, look at this!" "Sadie would love that" " we cant' get that for her" "but she'll love it" "we wouldn't have to refill her water bowl as much!"...now you know it's something to do with her water bowl...A FOUNTAIN! Yes, our little water whore who can never get enough to drink got a fountain. It holds about 2.5 gallons of water and continuously runs so that the water stays cool. She hasn't emptied it as of yet!

And as I write this Doug is at a barn fire. He had a car on fire last night that kept him out until at least 12:15 and another call today at lunch and it's been 4 hours since he left. Sally and I took the firefighters water and sandwiches to sustain them in this frigid weather. Doug said that last night the water was freezing almost as soon as it left the hose!
