Summer Days

This is one of her favorite toys....that she hasn't shredded yet. Doug left for a fire call last night. This is how she greeted him when he got home.

She loves her pool!

The Kids

I babysat Gabby & Noah the other week. Gabby saw our camera and wanted her picture taken. Just a few shots of what they each thought about getting their picture taken. Gabby is the poser. Noah, the boy who can't sit still for a few seconds. But it was fun. Gabby ended up drinking half of my diet coke when I wasn't looking. She was sooooo hyper the rest of the afternoon. :) What are aunts for anyway?

Sadie's home

I brought my laptop to bed tonight. As I lay typing this, Sadie is at the head of the bed, curled up with her head on Doug's pillow. Of course I moved down so she had room. :)

The ride home was good. The house was explored and all the smells sniffed.

She has fit in nicely. She has met some of the other dogs in the family. Not that they all got along, but they all met. She met Gabby and Noah, she does great with kids! She hasn't minded the fireworks at all this weekend. We went for a walk in the park and all the smells were a little overwhelming, but enjoyable none the less. She is pretty much queen of the house. She has a basket full of toys already.

And the fate of one poor toy within an hour of her being here. They were once connected.

Meet Sadie

She will be the newest edition to our little family. She was hit by a train and suffered two broken legs. Her tail was also partially severed. She will make a full recovery minus the tail. We hopefully will be able to pick her up on Friday, July 4th. :)

Family, School, & Dogs

We had a family get-together while Becky & Dave are in town. This picture is short of about 13 people in our family. And you know Grandma was my weeping willow for the whole thing. ;)

School starts Tuesday and do you think I have read the 9 chapters assigned. If you know me at all, you know my procrastination has kept me from reading it. =) But truly, would you read it if you had 9 chapters of pharmacology assigned? (I know, i know. I will be administering drugs to patients and need to know what I'm doing. Blah, blah)

Well, summer gave me it's first kiss of the season. I was outside all day on Saturday and forgot the sunblock on some parts of me. We took Mugsy (Mike & Terri's blind mastiff, who is about 140 lbs.!!!) to his first official therapy dog visit. He is, of course, the show stealer. His size and blindness just attracts people. Mugsy doesn't mind anyone, big or small.

Meet Zelda, another therapy dog.
