Family, School, & Dogs

We had a family get-together while Becky & Dave are in town. This picture is short of about 13 people in our family. And you know Grandma was my weeping willow for the whole thing. ;)

School starts Tuesday and do you think I have read the 9 chapters assigned. If you know me at all, you know my procrastination has kept me from reading it. =) But truly, would you read it if you had 9 chapters of pharmacology assigned? (I know, i know. I will be administering drugs to patients and need to know what I'm doing. Blah, blah)

Well, summer gave me it's first kiss of the season. I was outside all day on Saturday and forgot the sunblock on some parts of me. We took Mugsy (Mike & Terri's blind mastiff, who is about 140 lbs.!!!) to his first official therapy dog visit. He is, of course, the show stealer. His size and blindness just attracts people. Mugsy doesn't mind anyone, big or small.

My summer is finally here. For two weeks. Pharmacology starts on June 3rd. Yay me! (note the sarcasm) I have been a busy bee in my flower beds. I dug up grass & dirt, extending my back flower bed by 3 feet. I've planted 13 new flowers/ground covering bushes. I also replaced 2 of my lilac bushes. Last year, Doug thought it would be great to shape all of the bushes. Instead of helping the bushes, it killed them. Doug doesn't believe me. :)

Our new Pastor starts in July!! Let be this a time of renewal (not that the old is bad, heaven forbid I offend people). Ladies Ministry is building up again and I greatly look forward to the Fall Breakaway. There was an incredible turnout for work day at church. Doug & I didn't go because were were doing some spring cleaning at home. Doug did stop by to take a few pictures though. Young and old worked together to make the church grounds beautiful.

I also had a party for Doug. We had a pretty good turnout. Now that he's 27, he feels he is reaching old age. Silly boy.

Back in the blogging world

It has been awhile since I've been in the blogging world. I am beginning to grow bored of facebook and Myspace. I think I've been needing an outlet from school, so here we go.

This semester has flown by. One final down and two more to go next week. I've been working on a paper the last two days. And this is one more step in avoiding it.
