Day 1 - Saturday

We left Freeport at 6:30am. We caught the bus in Rockford and rode that to O'hare. This was the group with all our luggage.
Waiting in the airport to board the plane.

Doug & I's view from our window. We were in the emergency exit row.
Arriving at the most magical place on Earth! Disney!
Our resort
We ate at Boma our first night here. Gabby prayed for our meal. We have been counting down the days to Disney for the last year. Here is Gabby's prayer, "Dear God, Thank you for the good morning. Thank you that it is day zero. Thank you for this food. Bless our bodies. Amen." We all had a good laugh over that one.
We went to the Magic Kingdom to see the "Wishes" fireworks.
Aw! Patty & Gary enjoying the time together!

My Soapbox!

This is Lily. She has been recently brought into the Mississppi Valley German Shepherd Rescue. Tell her you didn't have time to report her owners to the cops.

Oh how I wish I had rose-colored sunglasses! The worst people on earth are those that can harm children and animals. My clinical instructor works at a place where they do exams on children that have been sexually abused. There is more abuse in our own town, neighborhood, or family than we wish to know about. With adopting Sadie, our german shepherd, I am seeing animal abuse up close. I am all for animal adoption. Pulling animals out of homes that starve, beat, and neglect them is a wonderful second start for these dogs. They say that a person who can abuse animals is more than likely to be abusive to children. Please, please if you see someone abusing either a child or animal, call the cops! (which I hope is common sense for everyone!)

So many things...

September is full of things to remember!

First off, on Sep. 10, Terri & Mike celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary! Yay!

On Sep. 11th, Mom celebrated her birthday. I won't mention which one!

This past weekend, Papa went to his 50th high school reunion. Class of 1958! Isn't his senior pic cute?
